Minneapolis, MN: Supervalu, the large food wholesaler and grocery store giant, agreed to terms this week to sell their Millwork and Store Fixture Division to DGS Retail, Inc. of Boston, MA.
Payson Store Fixtures, previously known as The Albertson's Mill, is located outside of Salt Lake City, Utah and has been a division of Albertsons/Supervalu for over 15 years. The Mill designs and manufactures store fixtures, millwork and interior decor for supermarket, pharmacy and retail store environments.
Peter Stevens, CEO of DGS Retail, said "This aquisition gives us a west coast presence and upgrades our level of services to include millwork, store fixtures and custom interior items, which compliments our existing decor, graphics and signage products. We are very excited to launch this new division in 2010."
With over 200,000 square feet of manufacturing space, this facility will more than double the Company's production capabilities. DGS is headquartered in Boston and has a facility in Tampa that services the Southeast region.
