General Order Questions:

How do I place an order?

You may check out as a guest, create a new account, or sign into an existing account. Then add items to your cart and proceed to the checkout page.

What is the easiest way to place an order?

The quickest way to place an order is on our website. We accept all major credit cards as well as Paypal. For credit card security, we do not take orders over the phone. 

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes. If you wish to order offline you may pre-pay via check or ACH or apply for terms. If you wish to establish an account with terms, please contact DGS at customerservice@dgsretail.com to request an application. Minimum order amount to apply for terms is $10,000. Our standard terms if approved are net 30 days. Without approved terms, payment is required in full prior to shipping.

How do I place a tax-exempt order on your website? 

While we cannot prevent our website from adding tax if we are required to collect tax in your state, we can issue a refund for the tax if you send us an e-mail with your order number and proof of exemption.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, provided it has not yet shipped. In the case of orders that require wood staining, you may cancel your order at any time prior to staining. Please call 1-800-211-9646 or contact us via e-mail with your order number to change or cancel an order.

Can I get a stain sample of your finishes?

Yes, we offer up to six free sample chips: https://www.dgsretail.com/wood-stain-sample-swatch-order-form/.

What stain colors do you offer? 

We offer all of our wood items unstained (less expensive and ships sooner) or in any of our 26 different stain colors.

Is your wood finish coated or uncoated? 

Our wood finish is an uncoated finish. 

Do you offer wholesale or project pricing?

Discounts are based solely on volume and product category. Many of our website product categories will automatically apply a discount when items are added to your cart.  Discounts may vary by category. Please feel free to contact us at customerservice@dgsretail.com for pricing related to larger projects. 

Do you offer install services?

We offer installation services for larger shelving projects. These services may be quoted on custom projects. 

Can you send me a sample?

We are happy to provide samples for project opportunities dependent upon the item being requested. 

Can you send me a catalog?

Sorry, we no longer print catalogs. Everything is on our website!

What are your hours?

Our offices are staffed Monday- Friday from 8am - 5pm CST.

Do you have a showroom?

We do not have a showroom.

General Shipping information:

Where do you ship from?

Chicago, IL 60644.

Has my order shipped?

If you placed an order on our website, you would receive an e-mail confirmation within 24 hours confirming the estimated ship date. You will receive another e-mail when the order ships with complete tracking details.

Do you ship internationally?

Our website cannot process international shipments. We can ship to your designated freight forwarder within the U.S. however we cannot ship website orders outside of the U.S. If your order value is over $1,000, we can assist you offline with order placement for orders shipping outside of the U.S. However, you would be responsible for arranging collection of the goods from our warehouse and for all shipping costs and exporting taxes and duties.

What is the lead time for wall and island units?

Black and platinum items ship in 3 to 5 business days. Wood items requiring staining normally ship within 5 to 7 business days.

Can I order more shelves/bins at a later time?

Yes, in addition to complete displays, we also sell all component parts individually so you may order more shelves or bins at a later date.

Do the units ship fully assembled?

To protect items during shipping, we ship all shelving unassembled and carefully packaged on skids. Assembly is required. Instruction sheets are provided.

Can I see the instruction sheet?

Instruction sheets are available for easy download in PDF format in the lower right corner of every product page on our website.

How much is shipping?

We offer free shipping on all orders over $99 for orders that are shipping to 'dock' locations in the contiguous 48 states.  A 'dock delivery' means that you do not require the driver's assistance to remove the goods from the truck. If you do not have a receiving dock nor the resources available to remove pallet(s) from the truck, you may choose 'outside delivery' during checkout to add lift gate services to your order. We also offer 'inside delivery' if you would like the pallets brought into your space. There are additional charges for outside and inside delivery. Inside delivery requires a minimum 48" wide doorway clearance to allow skids to be brought in. Inside delivery means the driver will bring your order into a location just adjacent to your entrance. Drivers will not transport goods into a back room, up or down stairs, or into an elevator to another floor.

Can you quote on a different configuration of shelves and bins other than what is on your website?

Absolutely. You can use our new layout tool to build custom configurations yourself at https://www.dgsretail.com/gondola-shelving-layout-maker. We also have DGS shelving representatives available to assist you as well. If you would like us to do the work for you, feel free to ask - we are happy to assist! What size shelves do you offer?

DGS stocks 3' and 4' wide shelves in the following depths: 10", 13", 16", 19", 22", & 24".

What size bases do you offer?

We stock 13", 16", 19", 22" and 24" base decks.

What heights do you offer?

We offer 54" 60", 66" 72", 78", 84", and 96" high displays.

Can I order non stocked sizes or colors?

The MOQ's for custom manufacturing are quite large and lead times are lengthy. Our ability to quote depends upon the item and the quantity requested.

Are the shelves and bin sets removable and can they be arranged in a different configuration than shown on the website?

Yes, all of the accessory items are removable for merchandising flexibility.

What is the lead time?

If you order has wood trim and requires staining, the lead time is 1 week. If you are ordering the metal table without trim, we can usually ship next day.
